POSITION DESCRIPTION1. Implement PPG EHS management system to achieve the EHS excellent in Wuhu plant.2. Lead the EHS organization to establish, monitor and achieve the sustainability goals and EHS KPIs.3. Conduct the EHS Risk Identification assessment for the potential hazards through Job Safety Analysis, PPE assessment, Environmental Aspect Matrix, annual risk prioritization etc. and tracking the implementing of recommended actions. 4. Implement PPG Life Critical Rules in PPG Wuhu Plant.5. Provide EHS support and consultation to facilities in Wuhu to achieve compliance with PPG and national regulations by working with location/field management and PPG China EHS associates. 6. Be responsible for EHS related governments’ liaison, to maintain the EHS permits and regulatory conformance.7. Convey, as appropriate, EHS knowledge, practices, technologies, and implementation strategies successfully used by others inside and outside of PPG. 8. Participate in new project ACT EHS reviews, audits, and approval processes. 9. Maintain and enhance PPG\'s community image, especially on EHS aspects in Wuhu.10. Develop and implement a strong EHS performance culture throughout the organization with all levels of employees through communication processes, EHS Process gap analysis, effective training programs, 11. EHS performance appraisal.12. Identify and setup the risks matrix and approve relevant work permits in Wuhu plant.13. Setup and update the Emergency Response Plan in Wuhu plant.14. Work together with HR on occupational health checking and monitor the staff occupation health trend.15. Implement the company IH sampling plan, monitor the IH status in Wuhu Plant.16. Work as the security leader, to maintain Wuhu plant’s day to day security.17. Other tasks related to EHS management System.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, safety, engineering, environment or equivalent.- Should meet all related requirements regarding Quality Management Systems and EHS Management Systems. - Bachelor Degree and 5+ years’ experience. - Complex problem solving skills and ability to motivate others in cooperative effort.- Specialized or technical proficiency in Environment, Health, Safety or Product Stewardship combining a broad understanding of involved practices or principles. - Problem solving skills involve standardized activities with substantially diversified procedures and specialized standards. - Innovative thinking challenge involving variable situations requiring analytical, interpretive, evaluative, and/or constructive thinking; original thinking based on analysis. - Accountability is generally regulated and is subject wholly or in part to: Practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policies and supervisory review. - Impact of job on end results in contributing requiring interpretive, advisory, or facilitating services for use by others in taking action.
