Responsibilities:
? Supports implementation and management of Valspar’s Sourcing Project in the System (Navigator)
? Vendors Port filo Creation and Analysis;
? Assists with developing logistics optimization strategies for the region or country and presents them to management.
? Monitor and administrate contracts, facilitates meetings and discussions to resolve circumstances, and contacts other
personnel when required.
? Collect and analyze logistics expenses for cost optimization explore, be aware of current and future business needs.
? Develops appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with logistics management principles and practices and
applicable laws, rules, and regulations; monitors compliance with these areas.
? Negotiates contracts terms to secure the safest, fastest and most efficient method of shipment based on geographic area,
market shifts, supply chain movement, and various product offerings; receives guidance on larger actions.
? Oversees and coordinates logistics matters with Supply Chain & other departments, locations and divisions, including senior
management.
? Work with Global Transportation Sourcing team to support global projects & cross region & cross functions jobs
? Support OEM management
? Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
? More than 2-3 years of professional logistics experience.
? Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
? Ability to deal with urgent case and work under pressure;
? Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures thoroughly.
? Experience in applying comprehensive logistics principles and practices.
? Experience in negotiating and administering contracts.
? Experience in working with management;
? Experience in development, analysis and review of logistics reports and documents;
? Understanding of geographic regions within operations;
? Leadership in Interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
? Ability to communicate with co-workers to provide and receive direction
? PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applications;
